"I was drawn to the timeless dome rings that Jens created decades ago. I experimented with designing something in a curved, bubble style that incorporated the kiwi from the much-loved Golden Kiwi pendant. I wanted to create something abstract, but when you know it’s a kiwi, you can see its secret in a couple of different ways. It’s elegant and beautiful.” Designer: Tony Furion for Jens Hansen.

How to choose the right metal: Silver

Silver is a popular metal. Like gold, pure silver is too soft to be used in jewellery, so it is combined with alloy metals. It is the most affordable of the precious metals.

Sterling silver can range from bright white to grey white, and can have a matte or shiny finish and must contain at least 92.5% pure silver (which you will see printed as 925 on silver jewellery).

While silver looks the part, it is easy to damage and better suited for occasional wear.

If you don't know your ring size you can still safely order today and we will work with you by email to help you find the right size. Otherwise, choose your closest size in USA, UK or European standard ring sizes. For in between sizes choose the closest size, add to Cart and put your exact size in the Special Instructions box on the Cart page. As long as you know your exact size in any recognized system then we can make the perfect ring for you. All our precious metal rings are available in every size, because we make each one to order! What are hallmarks and makers marks?

These are the small symbols typically stamped inside the band on a ring that indicate the quality and type of precious metal used, and the jewellery makers name and origin. For us this normally includes our Jens Hansen signature hallmark. It is generally recommended to retain these unless you have a special reason not to. As they are indents they cannot be felt when the ring is worn on the finger.
