Lead Times
- Ready-to-Ship Items: The One Ring and The Chain of Frodo Baggins are usually dispatched within 1–2 days.
- Made-to-Order Items: Most other pieces—The Replica Ring, Elvish Love Rings, The Wanderers Circle, and The Nelson Ring—have a 2–5 week crafting time before dispatch.
- General Shipping: Once dispatched most orders arrive within 5-7 business days. For urgent delivery requests, please email us.
Free Shipping for Orders Over US$299
Eligibility: Orders qualify for free shipping via DHL (international) or CourierPost (NZ) if the jewellery item total exceeds US$299 (including NZ GST where applicable).
Note: The following do not count toward the free shipping threshold:
- Route Shipping Protection
- Elvish Checks and other services
- Accessories such as cleaning kits and ring boxes
Free shipping only covers the cost of carrier transport and does not include customs duties, VAT, sales tax, or brokerage/clearance fees.

We ship worldwide using reliable, trackable DHL Express service to most destinations.
Package Protection & Parcel Insurance
Add optional Route+ Shipping Protection at checkout to cover loss, damage, or theft and enable seamless 1-click claims.
Countries We Cannot Ship To
We are currently unable to ship to:
Andorra, Angola, Belarus, Bulgaria, Greece, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Libya, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Montenegro, Nigeria, Pakistan, Peru, Portugal, Switzerland, Russia, and Yemen.
If your country is unsupported, you’ll be notified at checkout. Contact us for assistance.
UK Shipping Requirement
Due to UK VAT rules post-Brexit, we require a minimum order of USD $185 for all UK shipments.

Delivery Delays & Responsibility
Shipping times are estimates only. Delays may occur due to customs processing, seasonal demand, courier backlogs, or external disruptions.
Jens Hansen is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss resulting from shipping delays. If your order is time-sensitive (e.g. for a wedding or gift), please contact us before ordering.
Tracking & Delivery
All shipments include tracking and require a signature on delivery. You will receive tracking details by email once your order is dispatched.
Customs Duty & Import Tax
If you’re outside New Zealand, you are responsible for any applicable:
- Customs duties
- Sales tax / GST / VAT
- Clearance or brokerage fees
- Import levies or tariffs
Your local customs or DHL may contact you prior to delivery and may legally require your Tax ID, National ID, or Social Security Number to clear your shipment.
Refund Policy
We offer refunds for eligible returns, minus applicable deductions:
- Original shipping costs (If the original order shipped free, we reserve the right to deduct actual shipping costs from the refund.)
- Non-refundable payment processing fees (typically ~4%)
- Any customs/import fees we incur on returns
We cannot refund any customs duties or taxes you paid to your country’s customs authority.
Notification of return must be made within 14 days of receiving your order. Items must be unused and in original condition.
Custom, engraved, or special orders are final, except for chargeable resizing or minor changes (if possible).
Returns Procedure
- Contact us via email with your order number and reason for return.
- If eligible, we’ll issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.
- You’ll receive return shipping instructions.
- Once we receive and inspect your item, we’ll process the refund less deductions.
Cancellations
- Custom/Engraved Orders: Cannot be canceled once production has started.
- Other Orders: May be canceled if requested before dispatch.
