In 1999, Jens Hansen was commissioned by the production team of The Lord of the Rings to create the One Ring. After numerous prototypes and meticulous craftsmanship, the final design became one of cinema's most iconic props.

He was capable of understanding without needing to put his own stamp on it. I think he was a singular artist, New Zealand was very privileged that he came here.
In the 1960’s Jens designed his own personal Maker’s Mark; a version of the Chi-Rho, which was long used as a symbol of good luck because it was similar to the pagan word for gold. All Jens’ pieces carry this mark including the Legacy Collection designs, which are authentically hand-forged from his original production notes
