Time to design the first ever Nelson Ring
If there was a Ring that encompassed the spirit, beauty, geography, creativeness, or history of Nelson, what might it look like? To find out, we have launched a Nelson Ring design competition, to give Nelsonians a chance to design the first ever Nelson Ring.
As we are fully behind Nelson's quest to be New Zealand's top gigatown, our Nelson Ring contest will support the #gigatownnsn campaign.
The design
The Nelson Ring can be designed for either, or both, genders and you can choose yellow, white or rose gold for your ring. You can also include one precious gem in your design, to the size of a .3 carat diamond.
The process
Submit a photo of your hand-sketched or computer-generated design, and tell us the inspiration behind the Nelson Ring. The public will vote for the top five finalists, and the Jens Hansen team will choose the winner.
The prize
The winner will get to sit with our in-house jewellers to be involved in the ring making process*. They will also become the owners of the first ever Nelson Ring to be made!
* Travel to Nelson not included in the prize. We look forward to seeing your designs for The Nelson Ring!
