Last week we attended High Tea at Nelson’s historic home Melrose House. They’re celebrating their Diamond Jubilee as part of the city’s Heritage Festival. We gave away tickets to the Tea to some lucky winners at the Nelson Women’s Expo, and then joined them for a morning of sweet treats – and of course lots of discussions about diamonds!
Our winner Raenis Stocker, and her friends Lyn Linklater and Shireen Kilpatrick, enjoyed a traditional High Tea in the Melrose House café, complete with original antique china and silverware.
Halfdan and Amanda shared a few pro tips on taking care of your most precious jewellery – how to tell the worth of your diamonds, and when to bring gold in for professional cleaning (once every six months!)
After Tea, Raenis, Lyn and Shireen, who are currently living in Blenheim, stopped by the Selwyn Place workshop for a tour. We were very pleased to host them!
